We have extremely exciting news here at The Morning Coffee Mix. As digital radio and broadcast has grown, and taken a larger market share, OEM equipment manufacturers of internet radio devices are increasing. Now, some of the newest cars are coming 3-G/4G equiped, meaning that they can recieve internet radio stations with the right receiver. One of the problems they were having was the long names associated with internet stations. Ours is a great example. Though the word coffee helps a lot, it's not always easy to find us on these directories. So the equipment manufacturers and others in this medium petetioned to adopt the same call letter system that terrestrial stations around the world have used for years. For example, broadcast stations in the USA start with a W(east of the Mississippi) or a K(west of the Mississippi). Added to that is 3 or 4 letters. The registration for this system has been approved, and we subbmitted an application here at The Morning Coffee Mix. I wanted to find call letters that still con-notated our connection with coffee. While several were already in use by terrestrial radio stations, one was not. Today, we were licensed and approved with the letters KFEE. Short for Coffee of coarse, lol. We are allowed 2 city ID's, so we picked Houston Texas, our home base, and Chicago Illinois, where our Executive Producer Jennifer Kim is located. We are still available where ever you listen from of course! We have also bought several corresponding domain names, but they all will be simply forwarded for now. So feel free to go to the site now from the following shorter domains:

Because we are a digital broadcaster, the call letters are followed by "DB", just like terrestrial stations are followed by the abbreviation AM or FM. In the coming weeks you will see our branding change, both on the web site with new logos, and our audio station ID's.So officially now, we are:

"The Morning Coffee Mix-KFEE-DB(Digital Broadcasting) Chicago/Houston".
