This morning while checking out the station's Tumblr site: http://kfeestaffmusings.tumblr.com, I saw a posting from someone that I follow (her name is "chels" she is smart and funny and cute). She posted a tweet from Dr. Jill Biden and it was TEH AWESOME.

There are SO MANY social networking options lately and I just can't use them all. My choice few are Facebook (though if you've been listening in, I've been "temporarily locked out" for about 2 months now, message me on the station website if you'd like the sordid details), Tumblr, and our very own awesome website www.KFEE.net.

Jill Biden's post was swiped from her Twitter account but boy am I glad that someone posted it on Tumblr, or else I would have never seen it. I would have never known that the current Vice President's wife was so witty and current!

So for those of you who are against the internet and media and free speech. This proves just why social media is important. Yes, it provides an arena for free speech and yadda yadda yadda but most importantly for me, it provides people with access. Access to information, access to comedy, access to other people, access to the world. Who can argue with that?

And a shout out to Dr. Jill Biden, you are THE BEST, EVER!
